Estate Cleanout in Mt. Lebanon
Mt. Lebanon’s trash contractor will take furniture at the curb — but not a fridge without a refrigerant-removed sticker, not the TVs, and not the remodel scraps. Clearing a parent’s house here means handling all three. We take the whole lot at one truck-fill price: three-quarters of a truck is $587.
A Suburb Built by the Liberty Tunnel
Mt. Lebanon’s first subdivision was laid out in November 1901. When the Liberty Tunnel opened in 1924, the township grew from 2,258 people in 1920 to 13,403 by 1930, and it counted 34,075 residents in 2020.
Many of the houses from that boom are now being handed from one generation to the next. Since January 2024 the township’s curbside contract has been with County Hauling, which sets out what it will and won’t collect.

What the Township’s Hauler Leaves Behind
At the Curb, With Conditions
Furniture, appliances and household goods can go out after 6 p.m. the evening before collection. Refrigerant units need the certification sticker first.
Not at the Curb at All
Construction debris and TVs or other electronics aren’t collected. For an estate, those are usually part of the pile.
